«We as a club felt the need to comment on the events of the last few days regarding the organization of the svelta races. We say occasion because the real cause of any such abhorrent development is always deeply rooted in the pathogen-filled psyche of the people who cause it. We feel deep sorrow for those people who cannot afford health, joy and creation. We hope that one day they can be cured. But this sadness cannot outweigh our joy at this great day that we have all had and which marks, along with so many others, our choice to teach our children that this blessed place is a place of hospitality, joy and harmony.
Our joy becomes even greater as we see that the voices of those who clearly choose beauty over ugliness and kindness over malice, the we over the ego, are growing daily and becoming deafening.
