The MP for Piraeus and Islands Nikolaos Manolakos, filed on 29/10/2021 Areference, to the Minister of Environment and Energy in the context of parliamentary scrutiny, on the opposition of the Panhellenic Coordinating Committee of Regional Aquaculture Organizations, extending the deadline for the establishment of PAAA aquaculture industrial zones.
The Report takes note of the letter from the P.S.E. of Aquaculture Area Entities, including the Resource, which calls for the non-voting of the extension of the deadline for the establishment of aquaculture industrial zones and
Mr Manolakos, had from the beginning stood on the side of the Municipality and the residents of Poros, on the issue of aquaculture with his petition to the Parliament on 20/10/2020 and continues with his new petition, asking to examine the reasons mentioned in the letter and to take the necessary corrective actions in order to protect the mentioned areas environmentally.

Mr. Secretary,
I bring to your attention, the document No 2/11.10.2021 of the P.S.E. of the Aquaculture Areas Entities, expressing the Commission's opposition to a possible extension of the deadline for the establishment of aquaculture industrial zones, for the very serious reasons set out in the document.
Please take these reasons into account and take the necessary corrective action in order to protect the environmental protection of the areas mentioned.
