«The Revolution of 1821 confirms that the new, the necessary and the revolutionary always prevail over the old and obsolete in the end», said the Secretary General of the KKE's Central Committee, Dimitris Koutsoumbas, on the national anniversary:
«Today, the system that puts profits before human life is old and outdated, while all the necessary means exist to protect it. It is the system that forces workers, in all countries, to work into old age without rights, while all the conditions have been created for us to go in the opposite direction.
In the face of this modern yoke, the struggles of the peoples who are growing stronger in every country are very promising. For in the end only the people can save the people on the road to overthrow. And in this cause the KKE gives all its forces».
