Aircraft C 130 A Greek Air Force aircraft is heading to Tirana to transport the Archbishop Anastasios of Albania, who was diagnosed with COVID-19.
The archbishop underwent relevant tests at a medical center in Tirana, which showed that he has contracted the coronavirus.
Although symptoms appear in a light version, doctors in Tirana determined that it was necessary to transfer him to and admit him to specialized clinic in Greece, given his advanced age as well as some chronic health problems.
According to reports, the Archbishop will be taken to the «Annunciation»regarding appropriate medical care.".
According to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA), the prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, was briefed on the matter and gave his consent for the C-130, equipped with a special unit, to fly to Tirana to transport the bishop.
