The total number of cases stands at 643,055 (daily change +0.3%), of which 50.9% are men. Based on confirmed cases from the past 7 days, 128 are considered to be related to travel from abroad, and 3,487 are linked to a previously known case.
There have been 33 new deaths among COVID-19 patients, bringing the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic to 14,639. 95.41% of the patients had an underlying medical condition or were 70 years of age or older.
The number of patients hospitalized and on a ventilator is 331 (65% men). Their median age is 65 years. 81% have an underlying medical condition or are 70 years of age or older. Among the patients currently hospitalized and on mechanical ventilation, 298 (90.03%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, and 33 (9.97%) are fully vaccinated. Since the start of the pandemic, 3,122 patients have been discharged from ICUs. There were 216 new COVID-19 patient admissions to hospitals nationwide (daily change: +33.33%). The seven-day average of admissions is 190 patients.
The median age of cases is 39 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
