The new laboratory-confirmed cases of Covid-19 recorded in the last 24 hours are 6,700, of which 16 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates. The total number of cases is 754,451 (daily change +0.9%), of which 50.8% are males. Based on the confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 143 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 2,568 are associated with an already known case.
There are 59 new deaths of Covid-19 patients, with a total of 16,050 deaths recorded since the start of the epidemic. 95.4% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.
The number of hospitalized intubated patients is 434 (60.4% men). Their median age is 64 years. 79.5% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among intubated patients, 370 (85,25%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 64 (14,75%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,324 patients have been discharged from ICUs. New Covid-19 patients admitted to hospitals in the territory are 321 (daily change +28,92%). The seven-day average admission is 286 patients.The median age of cases is 38 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
