The National Public Health Organization (EODY) announced today 3,209 new laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19, in the country, of which 29 were identified following inspections at the country's entry points.
The total number of cases is 82,034, of whom 53.7% were men. Of these, 4,714 (5.7%) are considered to be related to travel from abroad, and 20,917 (25.5%) are linked to a previously known case.
There are 480 patients on ventilators. Their median age is 65 years. Of the 148 (30.8%), 148 are women and the rest are men. Of the intubated patients, 81.0% have an underlying medical condition or are 70 years of age or older.
410 patients have been discharged from the ICUs.
Finally, we have 60 more reported deaths, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,288. 523 (40.6%) were women, and the rest were men. The median age of our deceased fellow citizens was 80 years, and 97.4% had an underlying medical condition and/or were 70 years of age or older.
