The difficult epidemiological situation in the country is shown for another day by the data published by the EODY on the course of the pandemic, with the number of hospitalisations steadily increasing, as well as the number of intubated patients in hospitals in the country.
The total number of cases is 497,061 (daily change +0.4%), of which 51.2% are males. Based on confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 155 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 1,687 are associated with an already known case.
The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 8, while a total of 12 983 deaths have been recorded since the start of the epidemic. 95.2% had an underlying disease and/or were aged 70 years or older.
The admissions of new Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 167 (daily change +2.45%). The median seven-day admission is 173 patients; the median age of cases is 41 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
