The Minister of Health today provided doctors and pharmacists with new incentives to encourage as many citizens as possible to get vaccinated, Vasilis Kikilias.
Speaking this morning on the TV station Open, Mr. Kikilias stated that Pharmacists and doctors will be credited 10 euros to their account when they schedule a vaccination appointment. He also noted that the amount paid to doctors who vaccinate patients in their offices will increase from 3 euros to 20 euros. Furthermore, 50 euros will be paid to all doctors who vaccinate bedridden patients in their homes.
«The government has confidence in healthcare workers and urges all our fellow citizens to get vaccinated, as the Delta mutation »It is highly contagious and spreads easily,’ Health Minister Vasilis Kikilias emphasized, adding that vaccination works, which is why ICUs are not at full capacity today.
As Mr. Kikilias pointed out, the National Health System came under pressure but proved that it can withstand it and will continue to do so.
Finally, he emphasized that The Church stands by our side with a sincere and courageous stance, noting that three metropolitans have already died from the coronavirus, and described her stance in favor of vaccination as bold and clear.
