Local showers are expected on Tuesday 29 November in Central and Eastern Macedonia, Thrace, in areas of Eastern Thessaly and Eastern Sterea, in Evia and the Aegean. The phenomena will be more intense in Evia, the Sporades and mainly in the Dodecanese where thunderstorms will occur, while a little snow will fall in the northern mountains.
More specifically, according to the meteo of the National Observatory of Athens, on Tuesday 29 November 2022, local showers are expected in Central and Eastern Macedonia, Thrace, in areas of Eastern Thessaly and Eastern Sterea, in Evia and in the Aegean. The phenomena will be more intense in Evia, in the Sporades, especially in the Dodecanese, where thunderstorms will occur. Some snow will fall in the northern mountains. From the evening hours, the weather will deteriorate in the southern Ionian, western Central Greece and western Peloponnese with locally heavy rain and thunderstorms, while the phenomena will intensify in northern Greece. Dust transport from Africa will occur in Crete.
The temperature will range in Western Macedonia from -6 to 8 degrees Celsius, in the rest of Northern Greece from -2 to 12 degrees Celsius, in Epirus from 0 to 15 degrees Celsius, in Thessaly from 0 to 13 degrees Celsius, in the rest of the mainland from 3 to 15 degrees Celsius, in the Ionian Islands from 6 to 16 degrees Celsius and in the Aegean Islands and Crete from 8 to 16-18 degrees Celsius.
Winds in the Aegean will blow from the north with intensities of 5-6 Beaufort, but from late in the evening winds from the east will prevail with the same intensities. and possibly locally 7 Beaufort. In the Ionian Sea, winds will blow from the east with intensities of 4-5 Beaufort, increasing from the evening hours to 6-7 Beaufort and locally in the southern seas to 8 Beaufort.
In Attica we expect clouds, denser in the north and east where there is a possibility of light showers. Winds will blow from the north with intensities of 3-5 Beaufort and from late in the evening easterly with the same intensities. The temperature will range from 9 to 13-14 degrees, but in the east and north the maximum will be 2-3 degrees lower.
In Thessaloniki a few clouds are expected which will become thicker from the afternoon hours, giving local showers. Winds will blow northwest with intensities up to 4 Beaufort. The temperature will range from 4 to 11 degrees.
