e-EFKA and OAED: The «schedule» of payments from today through December 24

The Payment of January's primary and supplementary pensions includes, among other things, the scheduling of payments by the e-EFKA and OAED for the week of December 20–24. A total of approximately 2.1 billion euros will be paid out to nearly 4 million beneficiaries. Specifically, as stated in an announcement by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs:

1. From e-EFKA the following payments will be made as part of the institution's regular payments:

  • Today, Monday, December 20, a total of 463 million to 838,000 beneficiaries for the January main and supplementary pensions of retirees from the former OAEE, OGA, and ETAA agencies.

  • On Tuesday, December 21, a total of 522 million euros will be paid to 1,090,000 retirees from the former IKA-ETAM, banks, and OTE, whose AMKA numbers end in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9.

  • On Wednesday, December 22, a total of 520 million euros will be paid to retirees from the former IKA – ETAM, banks, and OTE, whose AMKA numbers end in 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8.

  • The process of paying January pensions will be completed on Thursday, December 23, with the disbursement of 540.2 million euros to 910,000 beneficiaries for primary and supplementary pensions from the State, the former NAT, the former ETAT, the former ETAP-SME, and the Public Power Corporation (PPC).

  • A total of 23.1 million euros will also be paid to 850 beneficiaries following the issuance of decisions regarding lump-sum payments.

  • 13.2 million will be paid to 27,280 beneficiaries as cash benefits.

  • Finally, 38,000 euros will be paid to 25 beneficiaries for supplementary pension benefits.

In addition, 190,000 euros will be paid to 500 insured individuals to settle overdue health care debts.

2. From the OAED the following payments will be made:

– 16 million euros to 38,000 beneficiaries for unemployment benefits and other benefits.

  • 26 million euros will be paid to 8,000 beneficiaries as part of subsidized employment programs.

  • 800,000 euros will be paid to 3,000 mothers for subsidized maternity leave.

  • 1 million euros will be paid to 2,000 beneficiaries for public benefit programs.
