Ο EODY reported 342 new cases of the coronavirus in the country, 22 of which were detected during screenings at the country's entry points. The total number of cases is 135,456, of which 52.4% are men. 5,343 (3.9%) are considered to be related to travel from abroad, and 40,024 (29.5%) are linked to a previously known case.
469 patients are on ventilators and hospitalized. Their median age is 67 years. 150 (32.0%) are women, and the rest are men. Of the intubated patients, 80.2% have underlying medical conditions or are elderly (70 years of age or older). 857 patients have been discharged from the ICUs.
Finally, we have 53 more recorded deaths and a total of 4,606 deaths nationwide. 1,868 (40.6%) were women, and the rest were men. The median age of our fellow citizens who died was 79 years, and 95.4% had an underlying medical condition and/or were 70 years of age or older.
