A major effort is underway to save important artifacts located in the Tatoi Estates, according to V. Koutsavlis, president of the Friends of the Tatoi Estate. «Everything indicates that the historic core of the estate has been saved,» he added, noting that the goal is to move valuable items, such as works of art.
Mr. Koutsavlis then thanked both the Political Protection, as well as the Army, for establishing a safety zone, thanks to which the historic center was saved and the fire was contained within the Heavy drum.
In closing, Mr. Koutsavlis assured everyone that no valuable object or work of art had suffered even the slightest damage, while describing the night of August 3 as «St. Bartholomew’s Night» for the wider region.
