The new Board of Directors was constituted Heptanese Confederation, as it announced in a press release. The new Board of Directors emerged from the 9th Ordinary Annual General Meeting held on Saturday 13 December 2025 and was officially constituted at its meeting on 8 January 2026.
According to the announcement, Ioannis Parginos from Corfu was elected President of the new Board of Directors, while Spyridon Chirdaris, also from Corfu, was elected First Vice President. Vasiliki Samiou from Kythera is the Second Vice President and Anna Kamvasi from Zakynthos is the General Secretary. John Dimas from Paxos was elected Treasurer, with Anna Alexandratou - Delaporta from Kefalonia as Deputy Secretary and Christos Stanitsas from Ithaca as Deputy Treasurer.
The new Board of Directors also includes curators and members from all the Ionian Islands, while the Audit Committee has been formed with representatives from Kefalonia, Lefkada and Corfu.
The Ionian Confederation declares that the new Board of Directors is committed to continue its work with consistency and dynamism, emphasizing cooperation, solidarity and cultural and social support of the Ionian Islands, with a firm focus on the preservation and promotion of Ionian culture.
