The intensification of controls on workspaces, with a view to developing a specific framework for the monitoring of the correct implementation of epidemiological alert measures in these areas, it was decided today at a meeting at the Maximos Mansion. In fact, Mr. Chrysochoidis declared that «we are winning the war» as «the vaccination is going very well». «At Easter we will have a resurrection» he said.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Civil Protection, Michalis Chrysochoidis, the Minister of State, George Gerapetritis, the Secretary General for Public Sector Human Resources of the Ministry of Interior, Vivi Charalabogianni, the Secretary General for Labour of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, Anna Stratinakis and the administrator of the National Transparency Authority, Angelos Binis.
More specifically, in the private sector:
1. Employees who are in status telecommuting or in a suspended employment contract, may not receive travel certificates from their employer (either from the ERGANI either from the forma.gov.gr).
2. Those who are self-employed, scientists and freelancers, along with the certificate «type A’» issued by forma.gov.gr should also bring a printout from the Taxisnet of individual and business tax information.
3. Checks on compliance with the measures in the workplace will be carried out on the basis of the declaration made in the ERGANI system for those on teleworking, under contract suspension or falling into the category of necessary personnel.
Please note that a) the declarations issued by the ERGANI system will relate exclusively to the legally declared working hours, b) the travel permits currently in force for teleworkers and those under contract suspension will cease to apply.
Employees belonging to the above categories can only move using the 6 texting options at 13033.
For public sector:
1. The checks will be based on the work plan which the public service must have at its disposal and which demonstrates that it operates with only the staff strictly necessary and refers also to the employees who have been placed on leave telecommuting and rotational work.
2. The movement certificates should bear the round stamp of the service, with the care of the relevant personnel directorates, while systematic checks will be carried out to ensure that the provisions of the Staff Regulations are correctly applied.
Also, from today the National Transparency Authority has direct cross-sectional access to all data on the country's working population, in the public and private sectors. The implementation of the above decisions will start on Monday 15 February 2021, and the controls will be rigorous and systematic.
As the Minister of Civil Protection stated, Michalis Chrysochoidis: «We are winning the war. At Easter we will have a resurrection. The vaccination is going very well. We are fourth in Europe! Don't listen to what they say. When it's your turn, get vaccinated! To do yourself good and save your fellow man. We still have battles to fight. Final battles, but battles. Every new restriction is a last battle. So that no one gets lost. So as not to affect the pace of vaccination.
It is true that we cannot afford to close every now and then. Schools, jobs, lives. But it's more true that we have to shut down when the virus is on the rise.
We know that this defense brings us closer to life. We know this because through discipline and measures we have managed to have one of the lowest death rates in European statistics.
From tomorrow the Attica fights a battle until the end of February. Fight the battle by complying with the measures. We fight by supervising their observance.
All together with patience, perseverance and responsibility. Because we know now very well that all this is to make a Resurrection. So that we can all be there!‘
