As of today, travel by citizens is limited to the strictly necessary from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. as part of the refinement and tightening of measures to limit the transmission of the coronavirus.
As of today, travel will be allowed throughout the country from 9 pm to 5 am will be strictly and only for work purposes, exceptional cases of health and accompanying people's pets in close proximity to the residence. During this period, it is still required to send an SMS to 13033 in case of travel for health reasons (sms with code 1) or accompanying a pet (sms with code 6), as well as an employee's confirmation in case of travel for work reasons.
With regard to teleworking, as of today, every public and private sector organisation is obliged to have a report at any time documenting the operation with the absolutely necessary staff and employees who have been put on teleworking status.
Furthermore, it is recommended that broadcasters adapt to these criteria by reducing the number of presenters and guests in the studio to the absolute minimum.
At the same time, during the hours 21.00 - 05.00, both home delivery services (delivery) and takeaway services are allowed. With regard to takeaway deliveries, it is stressed that they continue after 21.00 and throughout the hours of operation, but not as a separate reason for travel, but as part of the permitted travel during these hours.
It is also recalled that hunting and fishing are not allowed.
Furthermore, individual sport does not refer to sport/training in the context of sports clubs, but strictly and only to individual sport in groups of up to 3 people, while a recommendation has been made that exercise should preferably take place close to people's homes.
Please note that travel is allowed for travel to and from work or accompanying the child to school, but also for emergency reasons.
Travel to and from work for working hours or during working hours, if necessary, is only possible with a relevant confirmation from the employer, issued through the Ergani Information System. If for any reason, either because there are problems with the system or for any other reason, it cannot be guaranteed then the Employee's Travel Certificate available on forma.gov.gr may also be valid.
For legal persons the certificate is provided by their legal representative, while for self-employed persons and self-employed persons the certificate is provided by the self-employed persons themselves.
Moves are allowed only by sending an SMS to 13033 or by filling in the form for exceptional movement available on forma.gov.gr or by handwritten confirmation (according to the template.
From 5 am until 21.00, travel is permitted for the following reasons:
1. Travel for health reasons (going to a pharmacy, visiting a doctor or going to a hospital or health centre, if recommended after communication). In this case, an SMS with the code 1 is sent.
2. Going to an operational supply store of essentials, where it is not possible to send them in time. In this case, code 2 is used in the SMS.
3. Going to a public service, if electronic or telephone service is not possible and only for urgent needs, after setting an appointment for which the citizen is informed in writing or electronically and subject to the additional condition of showing the above information, as well as going to the bank, to the extent that electronic transaction is not possible. For going to a public service or bank, the code 3 shall be used in the SMS.
4. Travel to provide assistance to people in need, as well as to transport a spouse or first-degree relative to and from his/her place of work, if there is a need, or to accompany a student to school by a parent or guardian. In these cases (providing assistance, transporting a spouse or relative to work and accompanying a pupil), an SMS with code 4 is sent.
5. Transition to a funeral under the conditions provided by law or for the transition of parents who are separated which is necessary to ensure the communication of parents and children, in accordance with the applicable provisions. In such cases, code 5 shall be used in the SMS.
6. Physical exercise outdoors or movement with a pet, individually or in pairs of two (2), provided that in the latter case the necessary distance of one and a half (1.5) meters is observed. As well as travel for feeding stray animals, provided that the travel takes place within the municipality of residence of the citizen. In such cases, the code 6 shall be used in the SMS.
It is recalled that from 21.00 to 5 a.m. travel is allowed only for health reasons (SMS with code 1), for accompanying a pet (SMS with code 6), and for work reasons with an employee's certificate.
Finally, supermarkets will close at 20:30 from Monday, and will not open on Sunday 15 November.
Today they will be open until 21:00 and on Saturday until 20:00. The measure will apply during the lockdown.
