The alleged case of of trespassing on 50 acres of land has triggered strong reactions and a wave of political controversy that has been on the agenda in recent days.
In a new statement, the «Free Kythira» respond to yesterday's statements Mayor and Domestic Commission, complain that instead of providing answers to the accusations, the leadership of the country chooses to target those who brought them up, even going so far as to ask them to resign. At the same time, they raise critical questions about the cost of public works, the management of domestic assets and the choices of the Municipal Authority, implying that the lack of transparency is the real reason for the attack on them. The president of Enchori is accused of encroaching on 50 acres but the local leadership is begging the complainants to resign! Realizing the logical vacuum and believing that politics is conducted with arguments and not mud, we republish some facts that explain the real reasons for the panic of the «honourable people who are struggling to keep this poor regime on its feet»:
- The south section sewer project costs 3 times the national average for the same projects funded by the same program, yes or no?;
- Did Mykonos buy at the same cost, from the same company, desalination plants of double efficiency, yes or no?;
- Did the City hire an engineer as a special associate who, with the Mayor's knowledge, before he retired, prepared scandalous public works studies, yes or no?;
If an answer is found to the above, we are sure that we ... religious anarchists will find something to chant since our unholy, dark desires for the benches have been revealed.
