In the crosshairs of Prosecutor's Office are a series of false news circulating in recent days on the Internet, regarding the procedure of self-diagnostic tests disease from the coronavirus COVID-19, that the students.
These reports falsely state that if a student takes the self-test and tests positive a second time, he/she will be directed to a «covid structure», which is not provided for anywhere in the relevant joint ministerial decision (CMD), which details the procedure laid down, with free screening within 24 hours in a public facility, confinement at home until re-testing and application of the protocol of EODY in case the subject has the infection.
The head of the Public Prosecutor's Office was informed of the false reports and acted immediately, ordering a preliminary investigation. The Prosecutor's Office instructed the prosecutor who will handle the investigation to identify the offending publications and to ascertain whether the offence of spreading false news has been committed and by whom.
