Petros Filippidis will attend his trial outside prison following a unanimous decision of the Mixed Jury Court replacing his temporary detention with restrictive conditions.
The judges accepted the proposal of the Prosecutor's Office, who requested that he be released from the prison where he has been held since last July and decided to replace his temporary detention with the imposition of the restrictive conditions of a ban on leaving the country and the mandatory appearance at the Police Station of the area where he lives twice a month.
The judges reduced the 50,000 euros bail requested by the prosecutor to 20,000 euros, which the actor will have to pay to get out of jail.
Present in court was his wife, who, upon hearing that the artist was being released from prison, burst into tears of relief.
The actor has been on trial since last March for three cases of sexual violence against his colleagues.
The trial will continue on Tuesday 5 July.
