Regarding the latest cases of Turkish misconduct the foreign minister said, Nikos Dendias her foreign ministers European Union during a discussion held at the New York on the sidelines of the 76th General Assembly of the UN.
According to diplomatic sources, Mr. Dendias focused on the unacceptable action of a Turkish warship, which harassed a vessel conducting scientific research within the delimited Greek continental shelf. As he pointed out, the Maltese-flagged research vessel was located just 10 nautical miles east of Crete in a maritime area demarcated by the Greek-Egyptian agreement of August 6, 2020.
Mr. Dendias pointed out that Turkey’s behavior has now gone beyond all bounds of reason and in no way aligns with the image of «normality» that Turkey wishes to project. As he noted, this is an image that, unfortunately, bears no relation to reality.
