The final results of the Chios Kythira Pass 2026 programme, which aims to support domestic tourism in Chios and Kythira, areas affected by devastating fires, have been posted.
Of particular interest are the participation data, as a particularly high number of applications was recorded, which highlights the high response of citizens to the programme.
A total of 205,128 applications were created, while the final number of applications submitted amounted to 194,482, which reflects the massive participation of citizens in the programme.

- Chios: 64.669 applications (33,25%)
- Kythera: 129.813 applications (66,75%)

- Phase A (May - June 2026): 24,903 applications
- Phase B (September - October 2026): 53,763 applications
Kythera
- Phase A (May - June 2026): 53,000 applications
- Phase B (September - October 2026): 106,645 applications
(Note that the totals per phase are higher than the final total per destination, as beneficiaries could choose both periods.)
The programme is implemented through an intangible digital debit card for accommodation, catering and local transport, boosting the local economies and tourism of the two islands.
Applications were submitted in two distinct phases:
- Phase A: May - June 2026
- Phase B: September - October 2026
The significant participation, with more than 200,000 applications, demonstrates the great acceptance of the programme and the strong interest of citizens in holidaying in areas supported through targeted rehabilitation and tourism enhancement actions.
