Molecular tests with just 7 euros found the mayor of Neapolis - Sykes, Simos Daniilidis, revealing the extent of the obscenity behind the coronavirus tests.
Recalled that the mayor and chairman of the Social Policy Committee of KEDE, a few days ago, had called on the government and the relevant ministries «put the brakes on the billion euro dance by cracking down on speculation».
However, today, Monday, he released his interview in the newspaper «Democracy» entitled: «Only 7 euros have PCR - Interview - bombshell of the mayor of Sykes Simos Daniilides». The newspaper publishes an interview with the mayor revealing that had contracts for 27 euros per test, whereas it had found PCR on the market for as little as 7 euros.

According to Newsbreak.gr, «I sent them all unread, because I looked into the matter and clearly based on the law I made tenders, starting in 2020, when we wanted molecular tests in day care centers, in KAPI, etc. Then I learned that the molecular costs 140-150 euros, but if we took it as a municipality, without a receipt (!), we could with 120 euros “black”. How can we do that, guys? I'm not going to jail for anyone. I searched the global market and it was terribly “capped”, I put the municipality out to tender, in mid-2020, and we got it for 40 euros, for 1,500 pieces. At the end of 2020 I make a new tender, with transparent procedures, we get it at 33 euros, for 1,500 pieces. The third auction was in August 2021, and we close it at 29 euros, but at the same time the legal entity of the municipality, which serves the needs of the KAPI, the day care centers, at the beginning of September 2021, has an auction, and finds the molecular test at 27 euros, with a formal tender, please. What were we supposed to do? Pay for it at 47? I will make a new tender in April 2022 and I believe we will find it under 25 euros».
As for his own actions, he reveals that he found PCR with just 7 euros«All this financial difference led me to the thought of setting up a similar municipal laboratory for PCR in the municipality and I looked into it very carefully. Do you know how much I found the price of PCR from the wholesalers? Are you sitting down?; Just 7 euros... To seven euros if we got 1,500 pieces, and 10 euros for 1,000 pieces, and of course I went crazy. It's not possible such obscenity.».
Asked about his next moves, he replied, «I looked into the possibility of buying equipment for the creation of the laboratory, and I found used machines from Europe, three and five years old, from 7,500 to 10,000 euros! I researched the issue and for new machines the highest price I found was 35,000-40,000 euros, for modern digital equipment and for examining up to 96 people at the same time! In other words, we could examine 96 people at the same time, and at very low prices, since the municipality does not want to make money from its citizens. But I'm blocked by the EODY, they won't let me do it».
Asked to answer «why,» he said: «Because we were told they don't contract with municipalities, there is no law that allows it and covers it, to discourage us. While I had arranged everything with my partners, to set up the lab and help our fellow citizens get PCR at a very cheap price. I told you, buy 7 euros!»
