Members of the crew are Robin Davy, 78 years old, with his son Finn, 35 years old who travelled for two months and 22 days! The journey of “Thom Tuff” started with the loading of the vessel on a ship from Cork in Ireland to Roscoff in France, and then moved by road to Bordeaux. From there, it crossed France via canals, heading for to Italy, where it moved along the northern periphery towards the Adriatic Sea coast before finally leaving eastwards to Croatia, Montenegro, Albania and Greece. In Greece, they were caught in Corfu, they crossed the Ionian Sea and from Kefalonia they crossed the Peloponnese and continued on to the Peloponnese.

After a short stop in Elafonisos for replenishment, the vessel arrived today in Kythera. Ο Bob Hobman, who is in communication with the crew informed us during the trip.

The adventure of “Thom Tuff” is a special event for our island, highlighting the spirit of sailing and the sea that characterizes the island.

Ο Bob Hobman invited all interested parties to gather at the port and celebrate the arrival of “Thom Tuff”. Bob Hobman is known to have spearheaded the project  “The First Mariners” before 10 years when a group travelled with a raft, made of reeds, from Kythera to Chania. Robin and Finn were also part of the raft crew.
