The Kythera Fire Brigade informs citizens that, due to the prevailing gusty winds, any outdoor activity that may cause a risk of fire outbreak or spreading is prohibited. In particular, the burning of crop residues, branches or other materials in the open air is strictly prohibited for as long as the dangerous weather conditions persist.
In addition, the Kythera Fire Brigade recommends avoiding any activity in open areas where there is a risk of falling objects, branches or loss of balance due to strong wind gusts.
