The workshop on «The New Era in Women's Entrepreneurship,» held on November 10, 2021, by the Women's Entrepreneurship Group of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was attended by Deputy Regional Governor of the Islands, Ms. Vasiliki Theodorakopoulou-Bogri.
Among the speakers, Ms. Maria Syregela, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ms. Eliza Vozemberg, Member of the European Parliament and Vice-Chair of the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality of the European Parliament, and Ms. Sofia Kounenaki-Efraimoglou, President of the National Chamber Network of Greek Women Entrepreneurs.
In her greeting, the Deputy Regional Governor emphasized the need for institutional establishment of equality through the creation of equal opportunities. Equal opportunities must be methodically and systematically incorporated into the objectives of local government and central government projects so that men and women can benefit on equal terms.
In this new era, women are called upon to pursue skills and new career opportunities with equal opportunities, provided that ensure a common starting point. Conditions are much better than in previous decades, but first we need a clear picture of the labor system in relation to COVID season, the explosion of digital activities, and the subsequent rational recording of support for female entrepreneurship. Initiatives such as this create the right conditions for all stakeholders to work together to create a friendly working environment, as everything is changing.
