The platform opens today to make appointments for vaccination the teenagers from 15 to 17 years old. Following the approval of the National Vaccination Committee for the vaccination of children born up to 31/12/2005, the parents of these children can now make an appointment for them, with the vaccine of Pfizer.
The appointment for the vaccination of children will be possible through the platform emvolio.gov.gr with codes Taxisnet and the appointment can be made by any of the parents belonging to the same family portion as the child. Also, the child's appointment can be booked at the CCPs or pharmacies by the parent presenting his/her own and the child's identification documents.
Children should come to the vaccination centres accompanied by their parent or guardian.
Much of the focus of the vaccination campaign is now on younger people but also on a significant proportion of people over 50 who have not yet decided to be vaccinated.
This past week, broke the barrier of 70% fully vaccinated for people over 60 years old. Specifically, among citizens over 60 years of age, 71.5% have completed the vaccination, 75.5% have had at least one dose and this will rise to close to 80% if we count the appointments.
For the 25-29 age group, 37% have already been vaccinated and if we count the appointments, it amounts to 41%.
For the 18-24 age group, 24% has already been vaccinated with at least one dose and if we count the appointments, it amounts to 29%.
Today we are expected to reach 9.5 million vaccinations in the country since the launch of Operation Freedom. We are now reaching 5.5 million people who have been vaccinated with the first dose of the vaccine and 4.5 million people who have been fully vaccinated.
