Perhaps even within the day the platform for the settlement of debts that gave birth to pandemic, in 36 instalments or 72 instalments. According to reports, efforts are being made by the AADE to enable the opening of the platform to the mybusinessSupport, to be held today, Wednesday, 29/09.
The measure concerns some 823,000 taxpayers who have been demonstrably affected by the pandemic. They will be able to to settle their debts either in 36 instalments (three years) without interest or in 72 instalments (6 years) at an interest rate of 2.5%. In both cases, the first instalment will have to be paid in January 2022.
The minimum amount of each monthly instalment will be €30 for debts up to €1,000 and €50 for debts above €1,000.
Individuals and legal entities that have been affected by the health crisis and have left unpaid and unregulated debts to the tax authorities, which were established from 1 March 2020 to 31 July 2021, can join the scheme.
The main elements of the regulation:
The scheme will include those who are proven to have been affected and based on an extended list of IDCs, homeowners who filed a Covid return, unemployed people who registered with the OAED, and workers who were on probation or in SYN-ERGIA.
According to the government's decision, the new regulation will be able to include tax debts (VAT, income tax, ENFIA, etc.) and insurance debts created during the pandemic.
These can be set up to 72 instalments at an interest rate of 2.5%, or interest-free in 36 instalments; the first instalment will be paid by 31 January 2022. Note that those who choose to settle their debts in more than 36 instalments, then the arrangement will be interest-bearing for the total number of instalments and not for the additional ones.
That is, if someone wants to settle the amount due in 50 instalments, then all 50 monthly instalments will be interest-bearing.
It is clarified that this year's income tax and ENFIA cannot be included in the regulation as they are not overdue debts but confirmed debts.
The scheme concerns businesses and individuals affected by the coronavirus and debts already established during the pandemic.
The categories of debtors covered by the scheme are:
– Business and freelancers who have been identified as affected by the Ministry of Finance on the basis of an EPC (the extended list of EPCs for April 2020 will be used). It is estimated that the eligible CODs include 78% of businesses and self-employed persons in the country.
– Employees whose contract of employment has been temporarily suspended and who have received special purpose compensation or had joined the COOPERATION programme.
– Property owners who have received a reduced rent on the basis of COVID declaration.
– Unemployed registered at that time with the OAED.
