We salute the 51st anniversary of the 17 November 1973 uprising.
Many of the demands of that uprising remain relevant today. Education is constantly being degraded (the Kythera High School is a striking example), precision is on the rise and eating away at our income, democracy is not functioning satisfactorily.
Today, when the far right is gaining ground worldwide, there is a need for social democratic forces to react. Massively and unitedly. With determination and a plan.
The O.M. SY.RIZ.A - P.S. Kythera honours the Kythirians who in 1973 were present at the Polytechnic. It honours those Kytherians who have fought for democracy and freedom. It also honours those who today stand up and claim their rights.
The O.M. SY.RIZ.A - P.S. Kythera calls on every leftist, every democrat to react dynamically to any attempt to undermine our rights. The members of SY.RIZ.A - P.S. have always been and will always be in the front line.
