Yannis Koroneos shared on his Facebook account valuable photos and memories from the march for the Polytechnic that took place almost 50 years ago (1975 or 1976).Back then, he was a member of the Kytherian Students' Association, marching with compatriots, friends and fellow students.
The photos show the young people of the Association holding banners. Among them, as Yannis mentions, we can see himself, Grigoris Petrochilos, Katerina Kasimatis, Damianos Kasimatis, Vrettos Aliferis, George Kasimatis, Vangelis Kanellis.
In his post Yannis Koroneos made the comment: «For the umpteenth time we will walk on the same road», showing that the memories and values born at that time remain alive.
These photographs and memories recall the importance of the Polytechnic and the collective struggles, as experienced by the Kytherian students of that time, in the first years of the restoration of democracy. Struggles for ideals that continue to inspire younger generations.
