Yet another incredible scene experienced by the residents of the much-loved Saint Panteleimon, as a Muslim invaded the holy temple and attempted to make Islamic preaching while the choir was singing.
The incident, which «cut off the legs» of the attendees, occurred last Friday, during the regular concert of Association of Cantors of Attica, entitled «Behold the Bridegroom Cometh», which took place in the magnificent -but unfortunate- St. Panteleimon's Church of Acharno, with the 30-member choir of the Association of Attica's Sacred Singers and the Symphony Orchestra of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, conducted by Nina Patrikidou.
The concert was free of charge and had attracted the interest of many believers who had gone to the church to attend it. But while the concert was in progress, a bearded immigrant he burst into the church and grabbed the microphone, starting to screaming in some Arabic language. Fortunately, the immediate reaction of some of the chanters prevented the worst, as they managed to remove him from the holy temple.
It is worth noting that the parish priest, trying to calm down those present, said that such problems in this area are «expected».
In this particular case, the worst may have been avoided and only terror was left for the faithful, but a very important problem was highlighted, which arises because of the «multiculturalism» areas of the centre.
Lately the holy temple is becoming Target various «aggressive» movements by populations of alien believers. In particular, as it is reported, almost every time when the Divine Liturgy takes place, some people play loud music in order to «cover» the sounds of the Mass.
