Fierce attack by “Free Kythira” on the mayor and major opposition over the TPS

The announcement of the “Free Kythera” for the Local Urban Plan (LEP) ignites new tension in the municipal scene, as it is being used to harsh expressions against both the municipal government and the major opposition.

The opposition accuses the two factions of acting as “single political bloc”, excluding the others from the decision-making process. “Why don't you merge now?”, they ask ironically, claiming that their cooperation serves political purposes.

At the same time, they reject the new proposal of the two factions, stressing that the development issues mentioned “it's already part of the scenarios” and that the whole process becomes mixed political game. In addition, they leave clear points for financial incentives and attempt to control the island for the next 50 years, using the term “wolfish city council”.

In sharp language, they accuse the administrators of “arrogance of incompetence”, mock development proposals and raise questions about the role of the Domestic Property, implying agreements and backroom deals, while denouncing illegal roads in the natura areas. The Free Kythera we agree with the conclusion of the Press Release of the Municipal Majority and Major Minority of the Municipality of Kythera: «Despite our legitimately different approaches on various issues, in the case of the TPA we consider it our duty to work together». But because we were not invited, I assume that the obligation to cooperate only applies to you. The 2 opposition groups felt the need to propose a new scenario for 4 «major development issues that are being glossed over». Yes. But all 4 issues you so eloquently mention are NOT part of the proposed scenarios 2 & 3... After reading you know (You're a little short on «control» of the writing, but that's what you get when you get someone else to do your job, mayor.) what is it that blinds you?; You are 13 against 2 and 33 against 6 but is not enough for you, we saw it, you cannot bear even the angel beside you who disturbs your drugged conscience.

But empathy even when it comes to the TPA?! Do you not realise that in your obsession with ... opposition to opposition you have treated unsuspecting scholars with a rudeness that does not characterise us all?; (We did not put this communication up for consultation, there is no need to make a fool out of ourselves.).

Do you understand the difference between a script and concrete sentences like the ones you are writing?; The cacophony of your election programs, protests about your own messes (e.g. lack of public transport!) and products of nocturnal excitement (to leave the PPC columns in the villages as monuments for the archaeologist of the future and other spartan things that make the «smart villages» pale) has some serious proposals for spatial organisation (with which we of course disagree, we don't have the same friends). You could just put them out for consultation. But you do not, you want to show in a frenzy that the planners are inadequate.

The state pays 880,000 euros to a consortium of large offices of surveyors, planners, urban planners, architects, geologists, environmentalists, but the micro-political gang that cannot build 100m of road without onions growing from the asphalt will tell them how to do their job.
