Mitsotakis “collected” Adonis for the ski resorts and chose the schools

From the floor of the Parliament, the Prime Minister made it clear that the next step of relaxing the lockdown will concern high schools, after the avalanche of reactions to the ski resorts

An inglorious end to his recent statements Adonis Georgiadis on the prospect of opening the ski resorts, when the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis excluded this possibility from the the floor of the Parliament, on Wednesday, 20/01/21.

The Prime Minister clarified in particular with regard to the relaxation of the lockdown that: “The government's next priority is the opening of high schools. Other activities may have to wait a little longer to reopen.” And thus emptied once again Mr. Georgiades, who in his television appearances the previous four days had left open the possibility of allowing moves from county to county to operate the ski resorts, which had caused reactions.

In fact, information had caused greater reactions, according to which it was being considered to allow the movement with hotel reservation in areas where ski resorts operate. The Committee of Infectious Diseases itself has reportedly expressed its objections to this possibility, given that such a development could lead to a new outbreak of coronavirus outbreaks.

It's not the first time that the Minister of Development leaves the government exposed with its initiatives, nor is it the first time that the Maximum is forced to pick him up. It is recalled that on the day the temporary suspension of the click away, Mr Georgiades announced the opening of the market.

However, it was a personal decision of Mr Mitsotakis to tighten the lockdown from 3 January, as he had set as a priority the opening of schools on 11 January, which was done. Of course, in the meantime and as the commercial world was under pressure, the market opened up, but now the Maximum focus on the reopening of secondary education.

The Prime Minister now seems to prefer the reopening of the secondary education, making it a priority, as the issue concerns thousands of students, their parents and teachers. Mitsotakis' positions seem to be endorsed by the members of the Committee of Experts.

The key date seems to be February 1.

The committee will take final decisions on Friday and the announcements will then be made by State Secretary for Civil Protection Nikos Chardalias.

However, the committee members are not against releasing activities such as hunting and the fishing, but without being allowed to move from county to county.
