The upcoming mini government reshuffle is now considered almost certain, with the relevant changes in the governmental structure being considered a matter of a few days if not hours.
In particular, the same sources say that the reshuffle is expected to be announced by Thursday morning, or otherwise on Monday 8 January.
The changes will apparently affect a number of critical ministries, including Health, Labour and Citizen Protection.
Government sources speak of «a targeted corrective actions, which will be announced in due course».
According to information transmitted by ERT the first corrective moves of the Prime Minister will focus on the Ministries of Health and Citizen Protection.
In this context it is likely that the Michalis Chrysochoidis to move, in place of κ. Oikonomou, while the current Labour Minister is being discussed to move to the position of Health Minister, Adonis Georgiadis. Information that has not been confirmed so far speaks of a return to the government of Mr. Thodoris Roussopoulos, with the scenario that he will take over the post of Labour Minister.
For the Ministry of Labour the name of the current parliamentary representative is heard Kostas Tsiaras, while there is also the scenario of the upgrade of the Deputy Minister Vassilis Spanakis. However, according to other information of the MEGA, at the helm of the Ministry of Labour is the Deputy Minister of Justice, John Bougas.
Still, it is unknown what will eventually happen to Makis Voridis, who had made it clear that he would not vote for same-sex marriage. And the government may have signalled that there would be no question of party discipline, but there would be a question of ministers.
In any case, information indicates that the Pavlos Marinakis remains the government spokesman and, if nothing changes, he will also take over the duties of minister to the prime minister.
However, from the Mansion House there is still no no official information, as a meeting of the Prime Minister with his close associates is underway.
