«The historic destroyer »Velos« was »hit" by yesterday's bad weather

«Wounded» left behind the historic destroyer «Velos», the onslaught of yesterday's bad weather, which hit Thessaloniki with stormy northwest winds. The ship, anchored at Nea Paralia, which is operating as a museum, was left at the mercy of the winds, which managed to break the shafts of its protective balloons, causing it to bob on the dock.

As reported by the Communication and Information Office of the Ministry of National Marine Resources, the ship was held back by two tugs that floated to the spot, while the assessment of the extent of the damage suffered is expected to be completed at noon.
