The Ministry of Labor's amendment to the bill, entitled «Multilevel governance and risk management in the public sector,» has been submitted. which expedites the initiation and implementation of the process for setting the minimum wage for 2023, so that the new increased minimum wage can take effect on April 1, 2023.
Specifically, according to the amendment:
a) The Coordination Committee for the consultation will send invitations to specialized scientific and research bodies to draft a report evaluating the current statutory minimum wage by January 20, 2020.3.
b) The report shall be drafted and submitted by February 3, 2023, at the latest.
c) The transmission of the memorandum and documentation of each consultation by the Consultation Coordination Committee to the other representatives of the social partners, with an invitation to an oral consultation, will take place no later than February 10, 2023.
d) The transmission of all memoranda and documentation of the parties involved in the consultation, as well as the report of the specialized scientific and research bodies, to the Center for Planning and Economic Research (KEPE) for the drafting of a Consultation Report, shall take place no later than February 20, 2023.
e) The draft consultation outcome will be finalized by February 28, 2023, at the latest.
f) Finally, the proposal of the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs to the Council of Ministers for the determination of the minimum wage for employees and the minimum daily wage for workers will be submitted by March 10, 2023, at the latest.
