The abolition of the Presidential Decree that «grossly downgrades the degrees of artists», as he says, calls in a statement by the spokesman of SYRIZA-PS, Nassos Iliopoulos.
In his statement, the spokesman argues that «today's mass mobilization of people of culture against the Presidential Decree that grossly downgrades the degrees of artists to the level of high school diplomas and brutally violates their labor rights», shows that the government has now lost all contact with society.
It then refers to today's article in the Newspaper of Editors, noting that «the suspicions that are being made that two drama schools are already planned to be established in the context of college operations, if they become reality, will confirm once again that the Mitsotakis government with the minister of colleges, Mrs Kerameos, are selling out everything for the benefit of private friends as if the country is their property».
Concluding, Mr. Iliopoulos calls on «Mr. Mitsotakis to interrupt his holidays for a while, to take back his revanchisms towards artists, to listen to them carefully and to abolish, before the new year, this despicable Presidential Decree».
