A large-scale investment in Rhodes, with reference to health tourism, is entering the final stretch. «The country will move forward with new investments, our tourism will gain goodwill and competitiveness by developing new forms of tourism, such as health tourism,» emphasizes the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Member of Parliament for the Dodecanese, Mr. Manos Konsolas.

Mr. Konsolas emphasizes in his announcement that «This is an investment of €25 million in the region." Sin of Cretania, which provides for the construction of a five-star hotel, a rehabilitation and recovery center, a conference center, sports facilities, and a small marina.

An investment, as he explains, that will enable the development of a new tourism product that will attract high-income visitors, it will create new jobs and put the region of Crete on the map of tourism development.

«Since 2017, under the responsibility of the previous government, the location was pending, which was approved by decision of the Minister of Culture and with full respect for the natural environment and the protection of archaeological finds, if any,» he notes.

«Approval of the location allows for the issuance of building permits and start the projects. It turns out that development isn't incompatible with the natural environment and protecting our cultural heritage,» says Manos Konsolas.
