The resolution emphasizes that “not only is there no public policy in place to organize Civil Protection through the procurement of necessary equipment and the hiring of adequate personnel, but the Administration is promoting a system of direct contracts to business interests, which severely undermines the public interest. Moreover, this is being done in a haphazard manner, ad hoc and at the last minute, apparently without central planning or coordination’. The text also criticizes the Regional Administration for the fact that ”the required quantity of deicing salt was not available in a timely manner, the procurement of which through a public contract was tragically delayed due to a lack of planning on the part of the Administration and was subsequently canceled by the Court of Auditors.“.

The “Force of Life” party was compelled to submit the resolution in question and to request that the title of the Regional Council meeting be amended to include a decision to adopt a resolution, in accordance with the Regional Council’s Rules of Procedure.
