The activation of 1110 on a 24-hour basis for the recording of all kinds of requests citizens and institutions facing problems due to bad weather, the Operations Centre (OCC) of the Attica Region and the IAA on the order of the Regional Governor, George Patouli. It is underlined that there is no charge for citizens when they call it.
The relevant decision was taken as local municipal road networks remain closed, resulting in difficulties and problems in travel and better service to citizens. The Civil Protection services of the Region continue to assist the municipalities and beyond their responsibilities. The requests made to the call centre, after being evaluated, will be prioritised and forwarded to the competent bodies (ambulance, fire brigade, traffic police, civil protection, emergency intervention teams, etc.) in order to be dealt with immediately.
Opening and disengagement operations
At this time the Governor of Attica, G. Patoulis is conducting an autopsy in places where teams of the Civil Protection of the Region of Attica and volunteers are operating (Messogeion, Dionysos, Ano Glyfada, etc.). The teams are assisting the efforts of municipalities to open roads and extricate citizens and vehicles.
On the occasion of the relevant decision to activate 1110, the Regional Governor of Attica G. Patoulis points out:
«Our priority in these difficult times is to ensure accessibility for citizens who have difficulty in getting around, and to serve them where needed. 1110 is also active beyond the formulation of requests on health issues in order to contribute to the effort made by the Central Administration and the Local Government of the first level to solve the problems in Attica. Our goal is to continue to facilitate our fellow citizens until the situation is normalized.
