Mandatory vaccination of priests proposed to the Archbishop by the Metropolitan of Dodoni

Referring to the Bishop of Aetolia and Acarnania who was intubated, being unvaccinated, the Metropolitan of Dodoni, stressed that «he belongs to the category of people who did not have a common sense», characterizing his decision not to be vaccinated as wrong.

To recommend to the Holy Synod the compulsory vaccination of all priests and temple workers, he proposed to the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Mr. Hieronymos, the Metropolitan of Dodona, Mr. Chrysostomos, as he said, speaking to ERT.

«All those who are paid by the state or by NGOs should be vaccinated,» said the Metropolitan of Dodona.

His Eminence, Mr Chrysostomos, was also mentioned in the Metropolitan Kosmas of Aetolia and Acarnaniawho is sick with coronavirus and had not had the vaccine, saying that his decision not to be vaccinated was wrong, noting that belongs to the category of people who did not have the common sense. “Is it possible to see people dying around you and not set an example of salvation?” he asked.

Regarding the measures in the churches, he pointed out that the Church is in favour of the measures but they cannot implement them as there are not enough staff to carry out the checks, nor can the State put a gendarme or staff to control the worshippers entering the temples.
