Marilyn Manson: The monster who hid in plain sight - He captured and raped women

Marilyn Manson was the media's favorite "eccentric" rock star. Offstage, however, he was an abuser of women. Rolling Stone magazine’s shocking revelations are based on 55 testimonies.

The revelations brought to light by the magazine are shocking Rolling Stone about the American singer, Marilyn Manson, against whom the following cases are pending three lawsuits and dozens of complaints from women alleging sexual abuse. As revealed, among other things, by the American magazine in its article titled «The Monster Hiding in Plain Sight,» the eccentric performer and former darling of the media, He had a special soundproofed room in his apartment that resembled a prison cell, where he allegedly held women captive in order to psychologically torture them.

As part of the nine-month investigation, Rolling Stone reporters spoke with more than 55 people who have met Marilyn Manson, including some of the women who have accused him of sexual or psychological abuse, such as the actress Esme Bianco who starred in the series Game of Thrones.

The testimonies paint a picture of a man who would approach women with flattery and «dark» humor, before revealing a a pattern of abuse that allegedly included flogging, carving initials into the skin, forced confinement, and rape. Women accuse Manson of offering them drugs and alcohol and of controlling their eating habits as well as their sleep. They claim he held them captive, both emotionally and physically, until they submitted to his will. If they tried to leave him, they say, he threatened to kill himself or even kill them.

Manson—whose real name is Bayan Hugh Warner—has categorically denied the allegations, describing them as part of a «horrible distortion of reality.» He turned himself in to the police last July and was released without bail.

Bad Girl's Room

According to Rolling Stone, in Manson’s apartment, which was located above a liquor store in West Hollywood, there was a specially designed, soundproofed room, which he used to psychologically torture women. She reportedly called him “Bad Girl’s Room” (The room for bad girls). His colleagues and ex-partners told the magazine that The singer would «banish» women to this room and keep them there for hours in order to punish them for the slightest «misdeeds.».

Ashley Walters, a former colleague who has sued him for sexual assault, among other charges, states that Manson enjoyed telling others about this room. His former assistant, Ryan Brown, who worked with the singer for eight years, denies ever seeing women being locked in the «bad girls» room.« But, he adds, »it was common knowledge that that’s what everyone called it.”.

Ashley Morgan Smithline, who has filed a lawsuit against him alleging sexual assault and unlawful imprisonment, among other things, says that he repeatedly forced her to stay for hours in this space, which is about the size of a fitting room, while they were in a relationship. «At first, he made it sound cool. Then, he made it sound very punitive. Even if I screamed, no one would hear me. At first you struggle, and he enjoys the struggle. I learned not to fight it, because I was giving him what he wanted.”. »I was just lost in thought.", he says.

Apartment with blood and swastikas

The rest of Marilyn Manson's apartment was decorated with blood, swastikas, and cut-out photos from porn magazines, according to Rolling Stone. «There were vaginas everywhere,» says someone who had visited the venue. Others recall seeing a message spray-painted above his bed that read «AIDS.» The furniture, rugs, and other items were black, as were the curtains the singer used to block out the light at every window, almost all day long.

The temperature was consistently low, and if anyone turned it up, Manson would fly into a rage and destroy furniture, according to the investigation. One of his former partners refers to the apartment as «the black fridge.» Another describes it as «a meat freezer.» There, many of his ex-partners claim, Marilyn Manson committed repeated acts of psychological, physical, and sexual abuse, which left them struggling with bouts of anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Flogging and electric shock

Esme Bianco states that he frequently verbally abused her, deprived her of food and sleep, bit her, cut her, electrocuted her, whipped her without her consent, and raped her during their two-year relationship.

In fact, the actress says that during a terrifying incident, the singer grabbed an axe and chased her around the apartment, chopping holes in the walls.

«That was the last straw for me,» says Bianco, who has filed a lawsuit against him for sexual assault and sex trafficking. The actress explained that she felt «her life was in immediate danger.» Leaving, she says, «was my best chance at survival.».
