Petsas list: Case files for two ministers to be submitted to Parliament in May

The Financial Prosecutor's Office is also investigating any criminal liability of the representatives of the company entrusted with the distribution of €31 million.

The case of Pezza list and the funding of media on the occasion of the awareness campaign on measures to prevent and avoid the spread of coronavirus «We live at home», is being investigated as regards the possible liability of natural persons, from the Financial Prosecution Service since last April, they have been warning judicial sources, on the occasion of reports referring to «inaction by the judicial authorities».

According to information, the investigation of the case concerning the expenditure of an amount of €31 million for media, conducted by already, by order of the prosecutors Authorities, the Financial Crime Investigation Directorate.

The preliminary examination was ordered by the Financial Prosecutor's Office on the grounds of statement of claim who filed the last April to the Supreme Court 48 citizens.

The strand of the the 48 citizens' petition relating to a possible political responsibility has been transmitted to Parliament since last May.

The part of the case under investigation by the public prosecutor is the part of the case concerning the possible responsibilities of natural persons involved.

Specifically, the Financial Crime Investigation Directorate, which is under the guidance and coordination of the Financial Prosecutor, is investigating possible criminal the responsibilities of the company's representatives which took over the distribution of the advertising campaign money to the media.

The order of the Financial Prosecutor's Office to conduct an investigation, concerns the offences of aiding and abetting fraud and of money laundering from illegal activity.

We recall that, in the lawsuit, 48 citizens accuse the Stelios Petsas and Theodore Skylakakis for fraud against the public purse and misappropriation of millions of euros in advertising expenditure in the context of the «Stay at Home» and «Stay Safe» campaign.

In fact, according to documentonews.gr, so far, none of the 48 have been called to testify as a witness, while it is unknown at what stage the investigation is currently at.
