KINAL: «Bombshell» from Christides - He will be a candidate in the elections

Pavlos Christides has resigned as Press Spokesman to run for the leadership of Kinal.

News nomination emerged on Friday morning, 15/10, for the leadership of the Change Movement. Ο Pavlos Christides resigned as the movement's press spokesman and put himself among the candidates for the upcoming elections, a decision he informed the current president of, Fofi Gennimata.

Within the day, the formalization of the decision of Mr.Christides is expected, something he announced through his Facebook post.

Down to six candidates

To the initial nominations of Andreas Loverdos, Nikos Androulakis and Haris Kastanidis, were added shortly afterwards those of Vassilis Kegeroglou and Pavlos Geroulanos, in order to reach six, with the latest development.

In all cases, the competent body of the Change Movement and by extension their co-candidates to accept that the process of submitting the relevant signatures (either by members of the JU or by the membership base) be extended.

Those who know the internal party politics, estimate that there will be many more episodes in the Movement for Change. Either it is decided to «close» the procedure today or to give a mini extension. After all, the only certainty is that the elections will take place on the dates set long ago, i.e. on 5 and 12 December.
