The number of new laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 recorded in the last 24 hours is 1,517, none of which were detected during screenings at the country’s entry points.
The total number of cases stands at 395,094 (daily change: +0.4%), of which 51.2% are men.
Based on the confirmed cases from the past 7 days, 27 are considered to be related to travel from abroad, and 2,036 are linked to a previously known case.
The Rt for the country is estimated at 0.82.
There have been 44 new deaths among COVID-19 patients, bringing the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic to 11,916. 95.11% of the patients had an underlying medical condition and/or were 70 years of age or older.
The number of patients currently hospitalized and on ventilators is 547 (62.3% men). Their median age is 67 years. 84.6% have an underlying medical condition and/or are 70 years of age or older. Since the start of the pandemic, 2,391 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new COVID-19 patients admitted to hospitals nationwide is 250 (daily change: +28,87%). The seven-day average of admissions is 244 patients.
The median age of cases is 44 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
