The right to disconnect from the computer the employee located in teleworking, as soon as the working hours shall clearly regulate the new labor bill proposed to the Parliament by the Minister of Labour Kostis Hatzidakis, according to an article by imerisia.gr.
The aim of the regulation is to ensure that the employee will not be captive in front of his computer for 24 hours. The pandemic of coronavirus has shown that teleworking is a modern form of Employment that is here to stay, however, there must be a a clear legislative framework.
According to information from imerisia.gr, the chapter of the draft law on teleworking has been enriched with a new provision that will regulate the right to disconnect, so that the a teleworker is not obliged to answering telephones; and email off working hours and be covered by the law. «Any discrimination against an employee because he or she has exercised the right to disconnect is prohibited,» it is explicitly stated.
