An allowance of €534: Which IDs are entitled to it in August

On Friday, August 6, 2021, the special purpose compensation to employees whose employment contracts were placed in parole in July.

Effective August 1, 2021 The «ERGANI» IT system is now available for submitting requests to suspend employees' employment contracts for August.

In particular, From August 1 through August 3, 2021, notices of suspension of employment contracts may be submitted; these may cover either the entire month of August or part of it. In any case, this period covers the suspensions relating to the period from August 1 through August 3, 2021.

As of August 4, 2021 Employers may give advance notice of the suspension of employees’ employment contracts for the entire month.

Please note that, due to the pre-notification system, it is not permitted to correctly resubmit notices of suspension of employee contracts for earlier time periods. In cases where urgent future business needs must be met, the revocation of employment contract suspensions is permitted with advance notice, using a proper re-submission or a temporary revocation of the suspension notice.

A limited number of new beneficiaries

With regard to the measure suspending employment contracts for August, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has made it clear that employers in the following sectors may take advantage of it organization of conferences and trade shows, home-visit and support services for the elderly, daycare services, and services provided by cultural and recreational organizations.

The following were also added to the list of eligible KAD codes:

77.39.19.03 Exhibition Equipment Rental Services

79.90.32 Reservation Services for Conference Centers and Exhibition Halls

These businesses (which do not meet the eligibility criteria) may suspend their employees’ employment contracts who had been hired as of March 31, 2021.

It should be noted that neither the 16-hour weekly work limit nor the revenue criterion applies.

Deadlines for submitting applications for the «SYN-ERGASIA» program»

For the month of AUGUST 2021 – PHASE I: COLLABORATION

Businesses and employers wishing to join the Mechanism for the month of AUGUST 2021 are given the opportunity to submit «APPLICATION / DECLARATION OF PARTICIPATION IN THE MECHANISM«SYN-COOP» (Phase A)» and «APPLICATION / DECLARATION OF PARTICIPATION IN THE «SYN-ERGASIA» MECHANISM (Phase A) – CORRECTED VERSION,» provided that any change or modification to the organization of working hours is notified in advance via Form E4: Staff Roster – Supplementary Work Schedule for employees participating in the MECHANISM during the period August 1–August 31, 2021.

In addition, the process for CORRECTING applications/declarations for participation in the Mechanism – PHASE A is available throughout the entire duration of the above deadline.

For the month of JULY 2021 – PHASE II: COLLABORATION

Applicants may submit their «APPLICATION / DECLARATION OF PARTICIPATION IN THE «SYN-ERGASIA» MECHANISM (Phase B)» from August 2 through August 20, 2021.

New deadline for the submission of sworn statements (unilateral) by employees with the right to be rehired in the tourism sector for May–June

From August 2 to 20, 2021, employees with the right to reinstatement are once again given the opportunity to submit unilateral affidavits as well as corrected submissions, in accordance with current legislation, by employees entitled to reinstatement at businesses – employers of primary or secondary hotel and tourist accommodations or tourist buses as drivers, for the granting of special-purpose compensation for the months of May and June 2021.
