After numerous delays, the application platform for the 200-euro voucher will open on Monday, April 5, so that eligible high school and college students can obtain laptop ή tablet. It should be noted that the platform for applications from technology equipment suppliers wishing to participate in the program is already open.
Beneficiaries in order to receive the voucher of 200 euros are families with an equivalent family income of up to 6,000 euros, who will receive a check 200 euros for each dependent child between the ages of 4 and 24 who is enrolled in an educational institution in Greece. Regarding the criteria:
- For a family with two parents and two children, with a combined income of up to 12,000 euros.
- For a family with one child, with a combined income of up to 10,500 euros.
- For a family consisting of one parent and one child, with a combined income of up to 9,000 euros.
- Eligible students will not need to submit an application to receive the relevant euro voucher for the purchase of technological equipment.
Eligible equipment
The following categories of eligible equipment are defined:
- Category 1: portable tablets
- Category 2: portable computers (notebooks, laptops, Chromebooks, 2-in-1s)
- Category 3: Desktop Computers (desktops, all-in-ones)
The two phases of the programme
- In the first phase Families who received the OPEKA child allowance in the first income bracket in 2020 will be able to submit an application. The vast majority of the program's beneficiaries fall into this category.
- In the second phase, the platform will be opened to the remaining eligible recipients who meet the program’s income and social criteria. Eligibility checks will be conducted primarily through automated means, by cross-checking information from registries and all necessary information systems of public sector agencies, thereby avoiding a time-consuming and bureaucratic process of verifying supporting documents for hundreds of thousands of applications.
Amount and Intensity of the Aid
- Each family participating in the program receives a voucher worth €200 for each eligible student or trainee who meets the eligibility criteria.
- Each check may cover the full cost of the eligible equipment (100% grant), or part of the total cost, provided that the equipment being procured
- exceeds the value of the available checks, with the remaining amount covered by the
- beneficiary. In any case, the amount of the aid/redemption amount cannot
- exceed the actual cost of the eligible equipment being procured, as determined by
- is recorded in the documents related to the corresponding transaction.
Beneficiary grant applications, audits, and cross-checks
Beneficiaries who wish to participate in the Program, submit a grant application on the program’s online platform through the Single Digital Portal (gov.gr-EPS). The natural person who is the applicant submits the application on behalf of the family, representing the entire family, and requests the transfer of their data from the information systems of the public sector entities listed in paragraph 3. To submit the application, the applicant must first authenticate their identity using their personal codes—credentials issued by the General Secretariat for Public Sector Digital Transformation (taxisnet).

Η «Digital Care» It is a very large-scale program, both in terms of its budget and the number of beneficiaries, which amounts to approximately 325,000 families with 560,000 young people.
The number of devices that will be made available through the program is particularly large: just consider that the total number of tablets, laptops, and desktops typically sold on the Greek market each year is around 900,000 units.
Given the scale of the program, from its initial public announcement to the present, thorough and multifaceted preparations have been made, in collaboration with the market, to ensure that the necessary orders for eligible devices are placed and that there is a sufficient supply of technological equipment during the implementation of the initiative.
