The article in the authoritative British newspaper says that Ukrainian women seeking accommodation in Britain through social networks are at risk of being sexually exploited!
During the survey, the journalists of the Times posted a social media appeal for a shelter on behalf of the 22-year-old «Natalia» from Kiev- the reaction of the... merciful English was not long in coming.
«Minutes after the message was published, a Times reporter was bombarded with inappropriate messages with sexual innuendo from men «seeking relationships»," the investigation said.
Some of the men falsely stated that they had several bedrooms in their house while living in a studio apartment. Others did not hesitate to openly suggest to «Natalia» to share a bed with them, writing meaningfully: «I have a big bed. We could sleep together»!
A more challenging A British man sent a voice message to a newspaper reporter: «I am ready to help you and maybe you can help me too...». And another made it clear that «...he will not act as a sponsor when obtaining a visa for Natalia if she is not ready for sexual relations.» In two days, the Times reporter received about 75 messages - offers, of which more than 40 were from single men who seeking... affection!
«A girl approached me. The landlord, with whom she was about to agree to offer her shelter, asked her personal questions. Now she's scared, so she wants to cancel her application. The man informed her meaningfully that he was single, asked her if she had a boyfriend and if she was ready for a relationship. It's worrying,» wrote a social media user in a housing search group for Ukrainian refugees.
