It is announced that on September 4, 2022, the Chairman of the Kythira and Antikythira Local Property Commission, Evangelos Venardos, together with the commission’s engineer, Chrysoula Sofiu, visited the captain and crew of the Aqua Jewel to thank them for the ship’s impressive participation in the event held at the Signal Station in Moudari, Karava, Kythira, on August 31, 2022. She presented him with an icon of the Virgin Mary of Myrtidiotissa to be displayed on the ship, as well as a commemorative plaque from the Local Committee.
After thanking us, the captain described the emotional atmosphere that prevailed among the ship’s passengers, who had crowded the deck
