Kythera.News on the occasion of the successful participation of the Tsimperis Kenpo Hellas team at European level and after contacting the Master Mr. Panagiotis Tsimberis publishes today the detailed information and photographic material. Congratulations to Mr. Tsimperis, the participants and the supporters of the team. Read the briefing:
The Tsimperis Kenpo Hellas team in Rome, Italy
The Tsimperis Kenpo Hellas team traveled to Rome, Italy to participate in the European Championship Ed Parker's Kenpo Karate on 25-31 October 2023 with 21 athletes. Our athletes took part in training seminars and on the 28th of October, they raised the Greek flag at the Centro Sportive Tellene stadium in Rome, winning a total of 33 medals, 9 gold, 16 silver and 8 bronze. Of which 31 for the school of Kythera and 2 for the school of Kallithea.
It is noteworthy that this year the number of athletes who participated in the championship exceeded any previous event, resulting in sold out entries 20 days earlier than the catalyst date. This makes us even more proud of the effort and final performance of our athletes.
It is also worth noting that 2 of our team members were awarded with the KENPO GLADIATOR 2023 award by the European Federation as the best athletes in their category: Ioanna Sklavou in the category 6-9 years old white to black belts and Marina Samiou in the category 10-13 years old white to black belts.
I would like to thank all the members of the team, for their excellent presence in the organization and to the parents of the children, for the support they offer to their children and by extension to the whole team.
A big thank you goes to Dimitris Tsimberis, Dionysia Tsimberis, Myrto Protopsaltis and Joe Vlachogenis, for their important help on the day of the championship.
And finally, do not forget to thank the Fratsia “The Fratsia”, the “Orange” Association and the “Melissa” Association for the financial support offered to our athletes.
